About the School
Timothy Garrow founded Precision Driver Training School in 2000. The school is licensed by the Vermont Department of Motor Vehicles. The school's home office is located at 19 Simino Lane, Irasburg, VT 05845. Currently, the school offers various driver education programs including basic teen driver education, adult driver education, defensive driving, and specialized vehicle training (see course descriptions). Tim and Janet Garrow teach throughout Vermont with most of the basic teen and adult driver education classes being taught in Essex and Newport. The defensive driving and specialized vehicle training classes are tailored to meet the needs of various groups and government organizations including the United States Forest Service. All of the courses taught by The Precision Driver Training School has a core focus on crash avoidance. The school has also been recognized as a leader in developing programs that promote drug free drivers.
About the Owner
Tim Garrow is a 10 year veteran police officer dedicated to traffic safety. In 1998, Garrow was honored at the Heroes Banquet by Governor Dean and the Govenor's Highway Safety Program Coordinator, Jeanni Johnson, for the DUI and traffic safety work he did in the Northeast Kingdom. Garrow has seen the devastation, including multiple fatalities due to driver error. As a result, Garrow was compelled to construct a driver education program that met all of Vermont's requirements, but placed a special emphasis on crash avoidance. Garrow then acquired state licensure from both the Vermont Department of Motor Vehicles and the Vermont Department of Education and drew upon his experience, training, and education to construct the curriculum now used by Precision Driver Training School. In 2005 his wife, Janet , also became a state certified instructor.

Hobbies and Interests
The Garrows are motor sport fans and enjoy anything that has to do with horsepower, including the four-legged type. The Garrows compete in the sport of reining and are members of the NRHA. Mr. Garrow, an open rider, and his horse, Hollywood's Fifty, captured the overall 2011 NERHA Championship title in the Rookie Professional and Limited Open divisions. He was also ranked by the NRHA as one of the top ten riders in the world in the Rookie Professional division. Mrs. Garrow captured the overall 2012 NERHA Championship title in Green Reiner.
